Pre-construction Management
Onyx provides a fully managed and optimized Pre-construction process — from early concept budgeting and scheduling to assist our clients in obtaining initial financing, through design and constructibility review and advisement, through fully trade/subcontractor-supported detailed estimates, and on through purchasing and contracting all trades — the Onyx Pre-construction team is managing all of this for a successful hand-off of the project to our Construction Management team. In addition to these core functions of Pre-construction, Onyx’s early involvement proves invaluable to our clients: we engage with and advise on re-design and value-engineering efforts, we coordinate all stakeholders and drive the design and permitting schedule, and we assist our clients in navigating contract delivery methods from Design-Bid-Build and Construction Management At-Risk, to Integrated Project Delivery and Target Value Design.
Construction Management
Onyx provides a fully managed and optimized construction process — from land clearing and site work, excavation and foundation, and on through vertical construction, electric and mechanicals, and finishes — Onyx is managing all of it for a successful completion, on time and on budget. While Construction Management preferably follows our own Pre-Construction Management, it can also be performed as a standalone service. In either case, we see our clients as partners, their project as our project, and their success as our success. We therefore aim to maximize their profits through value-engineering, minimizing risks, driving the schedule, driving supply chain and field logistics, hypervigilant tracking of schedule and budget, and fast-tracking innovative solutions at every turn in the field.
Design
Onyx is a capable design firm, both as a standalone service and as a service attached to the Pre-construction and Construction Management services.
Our clients find that our sense of aesthetics and function, paired with our intuitive grasp of field logistics and real-world conditions, yield superb design for their objectives, budgets, and timelines.
We also partner with outside Designers, Architects, and Engineers.
